Biography
Mary Jo Wilhelm is running to represent Senate District 8 in Northeast Iowa. SD 8 covers all of Howard, Winneshiek, Allamakee and Chickasaw counties. Mary Jo lives in Cresco, Iowa. She is a County Supervisor for Howard County.
Mary Jo and her husband, Michael have been married for 24 years and have two sons: Ben, who lives in Iowa City, and Alex who attends Kirkwood Community College. Michael works at the Donaldson Co, a factory in Cresco. Mike also has a son, Christopher, who lives in Decorah.
From 1999 to 2006 Mary Jo worked as a Realtor and has been a Certified Residential Appraiser since 2000. She started Wilhelm Appraisers in June 2006. She is a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
